UMAC Fall Student-Athletes Earn Record 467 Academic All-Conference Awards
ST. PAUL – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) once again set a record for fall semester academic all-conference awards with 467 student-athletes earning a 3.5 or better grade point average (GPA) in their respective semester of competition. That number of 467 topped the previous record of 400, which came in the fall of 2014, and represents the fourth consecutive year that the UMAC has shattered the 350 mark.
Martin Luther College boasted the highest number of UMAC fall individual achievements as the Knights led all schools with 84 awards. The University of Northwestern followed with 80 individual accolades while the College of St. Scholastica came in third with 66 individuals honored.
Football had the most representation of all UMAC fall sports on the list, claiming 111 of the 459 certificates. Women's soccer was next, taking second with 76 individual honorees while men's soccer and women's cross country rounded out the top four earning 66 and 59 awards respectively.

Martin Luther College led the way in the team competition claiming six UMAC Team Academic All-Conference awards in the sports of women's cross country, football, men's golf, men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball. The University of Wisconsin-Superior earned the men's cross country team honor while the University of Northwestern claimed the women's golf title.
