UMAC Player of the Week Award Winners Announced

UMAC FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LeAnthony Reasnover, Eureka College

The running back ran for 129 yards and three touchdowns in Eureka's win over Martin Luther College on Saturday.









UMAC FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mason Bloomquist, College of St. Scholastica

In Saturday's 22-10 victory over MacMurray College Bloomquist recorded 10 tackles, including three sacks and an interception that led to the team's first touchdown. The three sacks are tied for second-most in a game in program history.








UMAC FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Antonio Greenwood, Eurkea College
Greenwood had three kick returns for a total of 138 yards for the RedDevils on Saturday, including an 82 yard return for a touchdown.  








UMAC MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Aaron Swanson, Martin Luther College
Swanson scored three goals and added one assist to help MLC to a 1-1 record last week. He had his first career multi-goal game on Sunday against Presentation, and leads MLC with four goals this season. 








UMAC MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Joey Gustafson, University of Wisconsin-Superior

Gustafson was the leader of the Yellowjackets defensively, helping the team go 3-0 for the week with two of the wins coming by shutout. Gustafson also scored a pair of goals, one against Bethel and another against Carthage, both of which were game winners.







UMAC WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jenna Maurer, Martin Luther College

Maurer scored four goals against Finlandia on September 9 to lead the Knights to their first win of the season. She leads the team with five goals through the first four games.








UMAC WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelsey Reeves, College of St. Scholastica

Reeves had 16 saves on the weekend for the Saints, giving up just one goal in two ties against MIAC opponents. 










UMAC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Charles Corbett, University of Wisconsin-Superior

Corbett won the Falcon Invite at UW-River Falls on Friday with a time of 25:11, helping the Yellowjackets place fourth at the meet.








UMAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Tiffany Tellock, Martin Luther College

Tellock was the top MLC finisher at Buena Vista, taking seventh place (out of 38 runners) with a time of 21:07.64 in the 5k event. That time was a personal best for her.








UMAC MEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Evan Lunda, Northland College

Evan was the medalist at the Northland College Invite on Friday. He shot a 73(+1) on the day.









UMAC WOMEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelsey Wattenhofer, University of Minnesota Morris

Kelsey shot a 95 on Saturday to take second in a dual match with Bethany Lutheran.  The following day she shot a 93 to finish first in another dual with Bethany. 








UMAC VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abby Tietz, University of Minnesota Morris

Tietz had 16 kills in three matches last week including the upset win over St. Thomas while hitting .424 in the match. She hit .317 with 16 kills against Wisconsin Eau Claire, adding 3.61 digs per set last week.








UMAC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jackie Foster, University of Northwestern

Foster tallied 100 digs in UNW's five matches during the week. In the Eagles' 3-0 sweep of UW-Eau Claire, Foster posted a 7.33 digs per set average. 








UMAC VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Emily VerWay, University of Wisconsin-Superior

VerWay averaged 9.06 assists per set last week as the Yellowjackets went 5-0, including a perfect 4-0 record at the Finlandia Invitational. She had 154 total assists on the week.
