St. Scholastica takes three of four UMAC Player of the Week Awards

ST. PAUL -- While Brett Tester won the UMAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award for the second consecutive week, the other three awards were given to first-time recipients this year. Congratulations to this week's winners!

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
F Brett Tester, College of St. Scholastica
In a pair of wins last week, St. Scholastica's Brett Tester averaged 18 points and six rebounds per contest while shooting 59 percent from the floor. Tester scored his 1,000th point in a win over Northwestern on Saturday.





Hannah Phillips
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
G Hannah Phillips, Presentation College
Presentation College's Hannah Phillips averaged 28.3 points in three games last week, which included a 37-point performance against Trinity Bible. Phillips also finished the week with averages of 6.67 rebounds per game and 6.67 steals per game to go with a 56 percent shooting percentage.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tom Lyscio, College of St. Scholastica
St. Scholastica's Tom Lyscio won the weight throw competition at the Blizzard Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Superior by nearly three feet on Saturday with a toss of 50'-2.5" (15.30m). Lyscio also competed in the shot put event, throwing a final distance of 42'-0.5" (12.81m).





Laurel Ohaju
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Laurel Ohaju, College of St. Scholastica
In Saturday's Blizzard Open at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, St. Scholastica's Laurel Ohaju won the 300-meter dash with a time of 43.81 seconds. Ohaju was also part of the sprint medley relay team that won the event and broke a program record, crossing the finish line in 4:31.65.
