Northland College:
Northland College men’s basketball ranks 1st in the UMAC in Field Goal Percentage and Free Throw Percentage. This marks the first time in 13 years the Jacks have led the UMAC in an offensive category.

Former Northwestern men's soccer player Emil Furcht participated in last week's Red Bull Crashed Ice competition in downtown St. Paul. University of Minnesota, Morris:
Cougar women’s basketball swept through the opening week of UMAC play, running their UMAC winning streak to 28 in a row. With two games on the docket this weekend, they have a chance to join just two other programs across DIII as teams with 30 straight conference wins.
As men’s basketball came back from a four-point half-time deficit to beat Crown, Logan Orazem and Jeremy Burns each posted career highs in points, scoring 13 and 11 respectively. For Burns, it was also the first time in his young career scoring in double figures.
With men’s basketball’s 69-66 win over Northwestern, it was not only their first UMAC win of the season, but also their first over the Eagles in St. Paul since a victory in the 2005 UMAC Championship game.
With women’s basketball’s 70-47 win over Crown, junior Emily Mehr scored a team high 18, to go over 750 in her career. Averaging a career high 13.7 on the season, she now has 767 in her two-plus seasons.
