ST. PAUL -- Not one, but two teams from the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) will be participating in the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament, as the University of Minnesota-Morris and Northland College received invitations to the Big Dance.  The two schools finished one-two in the 2009-10 UMAC standings before losing in the semifinal round of the conference tournament.

Morris, who is 19-7 overall in 2009-10, will be travelling to De Pere, Wis. to play Wisconsin-Stevens Point at St. Norbert College.  Northland, 18-8 overall this season, will play Carthage College at UW-Whitewater in Whitewater, Wis.

Neither team has participated in the NCAA Tournament.  Together, they will be the first UMAC women's basketball teams in the postseason finale.

Both games will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5.  All relevant information will be posted on umacathletics.com as well as the two institution's athletic websites (ummcougars.org and northlandcollegesports.com).
