ST. PAUL – Boasting a perfect 10-0 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) record and the program’s 12th consecutive conference championship, the College of St. Scholastica men’s tennis team had six individuals awarded UMAC All-Conference honors.  Brendan Anderson, Tim Dean, Jake Engelstad, Kevin Hilpert, Brian Lindberg and Dillon Sterle all represented the Saints on the all-conference list.  Second place Northwestern College had three individuals named to the all-conference team, including Stephen Fread, Joshua Fread and Jeremiah Schneck.  David Blumer and Jeff Huber from Bethany Lutheran College were honored with all-conference accolades, while Jon Kehl from Martin Luther College was also selected.

Sterle, a junior, was named the UMAC Player of the Year after going 8-0 in singles action and 5-0 in doubles play.  Sterle’s coach from St. Scholastica, Wells Patten, was chosen as the league’s coach of the year by his colleagues after the Saints’ undefeated season.
