PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS
Football North Division Offensive
Andrew Becker - JR | RB | Martin Luther College
Andrew Becker tallied 206 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in the Knights' 34-20 victory over Macalester. Becker also caught two passes for 44 yards in the game.
Football South Division Offensive
Wes Schmidgall - SO | WR | Eureka College
In Eureka's 63-44 rout over MacMurray, Wes Schmidgall caught nine passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns. Both were a career high for Schmidgall.
Football North Division Defensive
Stephen Gurgel - SR | LB | Martin Luther College
Stephen Gurgel forced back-to-back fumbles on sacks versus Macalester, which led to a pair of Martin Luther touchdowns. Gurgel recorded eight tackles with three tackles for a loss in Saturday's game.
Football South Division Defensive
Rosney Beverly - JR | CB | Eureka College
Rosney Beverly recorded six tackles, one tackle for a loss and an interception for a touchdown in Eureka's 63-44 win over MacMurray.
Men's Soccer Offensive
Sam Mann - FR | F | Northwestern College
Sam Mann scored four goals for the Eagles, including a hat trick against Martin Luther, to lead Northwestern to two shutout victories.
Men's Soccer Defensive
Ben Haugen - SR | D | Northwestern College
Ben Haugen led Northwestern's defense in a pair of UMAC shutouts over Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran.
Women's Soccer Offensive
Kyrie Jorgenson - JR | F | Northwestern College
Northwestern went 3-0 last week as Kyrie Jorgenson recorded six goals while assisting two other scores. Jorgenson tallied one of Northwestern's two hat tricks in the Eagles' 9-0 defeat of Martin Luther.
Women's Soccer Defensive
Rhonda Morgan - SR | GK | Northwestern College
Rhonda Morgan didn't allow a goal throughout her entire time in front of the net last week, helping Northwestern go 3-0.
Volleyball Hitter
Jordan Olerud - JR | OH | University of Minnesota, Morris
Minnesota-Morris' Jordan Olerud recorded 3.57 kills per set, while boasting a .396 attacking percentage in two matches last week.
Volleyball Defensive
Kelsey Korporal - JR | L | Northwestern College
Kelsey Korporal helped the Ealges go 2-1 last week, averaging 5.3 digs per game and a .953 receiving percentage.
Volleyball Setter
Natalie Thomas - SO | S | University of Minnesota, Morris
In Minnesota-Morris' two UMAC victories over Northland and St. Scholastica, Natalie Thomas tallied 10.2 assists per game, 2.71 digs per game and 1.14 aces per game.
